The Field is a one-roll bet looking for a 2, 3, ,4, 9, 10, 11 or 12. The 2 and 12 pay double and the rest pay even money. Some casinos will pay triple on either the Aces or Twelve but never both. There are a lot of numbers in the Field but don’t be fooled, out of 36 possible rolls there are 20 that aren’t in there and 16 that are.
Placement of the Field
The Field is a self-service bet meaning that you must take care of it yourself. If you want to make a Field bet you do not have to tell the dealer, all you have to do is put the money in there. Self-service also means that it is your responsibility to know where your money is. It is not the responsibility of the dealer to discern who’s bet belongs to whom. The dealers pay the Field and the players pick up their own bets. If you are not paying attention to your money then there is a chance someone else can pick it up and claim it as there own.
What does the Field Pay
The Field Pays even money if the 3, 4, 9, 10, or 11 are rolled. If the 2 or 12 rolls, it usually pays double. In some casinos either the 2 or 12, never both, will pay triple.

Betting the Field for the Dealers
The dealers always appreciate a good ole’ Field Bet. Anything that’s under the table minimum that’s in the Field is considered a bet for the dealers and we thank you.
